About Us

We believe that God created humans to have fellowship with Him, but they defied God by sinfully going their own way. As a result, we need God’s saving grace to end our alienation from God. Salvation comes only through God’s grace-not human effort-and must be received personally by repentance and faith.

About Our Pastor

Pastor Josiah D. Andrews,

“It’s a blessing and a pure work of God that I was called to pastor this flock. I grew up in this church, attending Sunday school, then moved to the pews, and, as a struggling teenager, often rebelling and even falling asleep during the sermon. And after years of running in the wrong direction God called me out of the darkness I was living in and by God’s grace, He put me back on the right path. He has restored and renewed me, and He continues to restore me each day through His word and His Holy Spirit.”

“I was called to be an Elder in November 2022 then in 2025 I was set apart for ordination and now elected pastor. My goal here at FCCM, alongside the elders and other leaders, is to preach the word boldly and unapologetically—never affirming sin or compromising Scripture to fit the world or its modern definitions of tolerance. Going into all the world and build disciples. We move forward not leaning on our own understanding, but trusting God and being guided by His Holy Spirit. We are a non-denominational church and we welcome anyone and everyone who walks through our doors, because we are all broken, we are all sinners, and we all need a Savior and His name is Jesus Christ. We are all born into sin, which is why we must be born again—transformed by the blood of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. He is the only way, the only truth and life, no one gets to heaven but through Him. As we move forward together at First Christian Church Machias, our mission is to know Christ deeply and make Him known, faithfully proclaiming the gospel without compromise, loving people without affirming sin, and pointing sinners to the Savior, Jesus Christ,”
